Our Story

Higher Praise Worship Center was founded in 2000 under the direction of Pastor Richard & Stacey Ware.  We began with only fifteen members gathering in the park or whatever space was available to rent on Sunday mornings, including renting a single room in the old Holiday Inn, what is now Growing Branches for Christ. With a desire for permanency, while still temporary because of growth, we had to move into a bigger place; a store-front on 30th Street. We occupied the store front for 2 years until we moved into  440 Ariens Ave. Suite 3., where we stayed until moving into our newly built current location at 812 Ziegler Rd. We now have well over 300 members. Over the twenty years of our ministry, we have been blessed with numerous outreach ministries that are constantly involved with our community, surrounding communities  and global ministries.

WATER BAPTISM

The ordinance of water baptism (Matt. 28:19) shall be administered to all those who have repented of their sins and who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls (Ro. 6:3-5; Col. 2:12).

At Higher Praise Worship Center, our goal is to introduce Jesus Christ to as many people as possible, all around the world. We use every opportunity to carry out what God has commanded us to do, love each other as HE loves us (John 15:12).
Here, we partnered with several other ministries to send a Mobile Medical Clinic to Belize.  "I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospereth." (3 John 1:2)
